I’m thankful for all of those lovingly owned and furiously played electric guitars in the hands of kids, blues men, axemen, mothers, saints and even sinners. When it comes to instruments electric guitars have the edge over all the rest, because they sell themselves. Guitar makers simply have to have their wares hung up on a wall for them to sell. The guitar section is always the highlight of any music shop.

The electric guitar is one of the most easy, classic examples of music amplification that was ever invented. Essentially, whether you are playing a Fender Stratacastor guitar or a less expensive newbie model, the central principle behind the amplified sound is nearly the same. Musical technology has definitely changed a ton during the last few decades but one thing is for sure. The electric guitar has  pretty much stayed the same as when it was first introduced to the  public.

Your guitar’s neck should be right for your hand in both feel and width, and the dimensions of the frets should feel just right.

The guitar you purchase should give you delight and be a lot of fun to learn and to play. Get something right for you. Spending too little on this part will not only make learning how to play guitar a bore but may deter you from really learning the instrument altogether! But remember you still need a good amp and a few accessories to go along with it, so don’t go overboard.   The better the instruments the more that you will adore playing, and that leads to more practice.
